
The India Organic Logo may only appear on products certified under NPOP by an accredited Certification Body — confirming that produce was grown, processed, packed, and handled to NPOP standards.


A license to use the logo is available only after obtaining certification through an accredited Certification Body. The following entities are eligible:
A product may be marketed or exported as organic under NPOP only if it carries valid certification from an authorized Certification Body. No certification, no logo — without exception.
The trademark "India Organic" is the exclusive property of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Users receive only a revocable license to use it. Ownership is never transferred, under any circumstance.
The logo may only appear on products covered by the certification scope, approved packaging, and promotional or advertising material related to certified products. It cannot appear on any uncertified product.
The manner of display — position, size, and context on packaging — must be approved by the Certification Body beforehand. The logo must be clearly visible and restricted to product categories covered by the active license.
A black-and-white version of the logo is permitted only as a narrow exception. All four conditions below must be satisfied simultaneously:
